Darfur Killers!

I just watched a documentary on Darfur in Sudan and the whole problem that the country has and still is having. http://www.cbc.ca/doczone/darfur/

What to say about the problem is that everywhere people are been killed, rape, and lost homeless. People are running to Chad to try and save themselves, which is helping much at all. Darfur is a place that is going to be wiped off the face of the earth if people don't go in there and save this.

What do we have to do to save this, go to the UN and wait years and years and years for some countries to say "YES", but then put restricts on how we can go in there? NO, that is the stupidest idea ever, but the only way we can bring in peacekeepers into Darfur.

Lets look at what has happened: People are losing their eyes, houses are burned with people sleeping in them, people watching family be slaughter, family torn apart, and not enough food to feed people.

When did this start: 2003
How many have dead: Over 400,000
How many on Humanitarian Aid: 1.3 million
How many displaced: 2.2 million

Numbers like these are seen all the time in Africa but the chances of the world saving this is like small to none. If this was in North America or Europe we would be in there in a heartbeat. There is no need for more reports or more timely fashioned big name stars to support the cause. We need to just go in there and help the people.

If this is not a Human Rights issue then what is? We need to put an end to Darfur NOW, not tomorrow not next year NOW.

If we don't want what is happening in Darfur to become an even bigger African problem in which more countries are engaged in war, we have to just help Darfur NOW.

To leave, how come we are able to just let Africa sit there and waste away in all the problem they have? Why are we going into the wrong countries at the wrong time? The Middle East is so great we should go bomb there to setup a prison for 100 years.

Just Stop and Think about Darfur and Remember Push all everyone you know to make this issue Number One on the World Stage.

Whats going on in Darfur is truly heartbreaking, but what can we, as individuals, do?
