Rethinking Impact on Earth

There has been such a waste of the world as people are driving cars or flying across the world just for work or to be with someone for a day. The amount of people who fly is not going down as people don't understand we need a No Impact approach on the Earth.

I recently saw this man who was trying to have No Impact on the Earth for 1 year and live in New York City. He also lives in an apartment which is much harder as he can't go change everything in the apartment. He and his family have gone as much as they can, and they have been making lots of News. They were featured in the New York Times: No Impact

One big thing I did this last summer was bike across Province of Alberta and this was 1300 - 1500 KM and was a blast. This was to gain stories and understand everything going on in the Tar Sands. This also had a huge impact on me to not buy anything and live local and small.

If we really want to change ourselves, we need to cut off everything that we don't need and do things that will make us happier. Starting tomorrow, I am going to not watch TV for 1 year, and beyond that try to live with as little impact on the Earth. With this, going to turn off all the lights I can (live by candle), and get an indoor compost bin that will help me cut down on waste. Every little counts.

What do people think would cut down the impact on the Earth? Would cutting out all travel outside of the city? Making no waste on the Earth? Leave a comment on what you think.
