Canadian Youth Standing Up!
Youth of the Nation are turning up the heat in what they are telling the public and world leaders that they need to do. We are talking about the Climate Change issue at the moment, and everything that Youth do is to make Youth Leaders cry out "Why are we not doing more?"
For the last few months, I have been searching for the video of the youth who opened the UN Summit on Climate Change back in September in New York. This was the first day, I was able to find the video, and really speaks to what Youth are the International Stage are doing to change the minds of everyone.
As for Canadians, we are trying to shift our Federal Government to change their position on the Climate Change issue. We have been doing lots in the last few months to get out the word. Youth have done Power Shift Canada in October where 1,000 Youth came. A Rally on Parliament Hill saw 3,000 people come out organized by Youth. Along with all of this, we have started to do sit-ins at MPs Offices across the country. With all of this going on the Canadian organizer of 350.org was a Female Youth, and was able to get 530 rallies to happen.
