Ecological Footprints

The whole idea of Ecological Footprints was thought of by Canadians William Rees and Matthis Wackernagel, who knew... During my whole Katimavik program, I was suppose to have a workshop on this 3 times, and the people could never make the workshop... I was really disappointed as I would really like to learn more about this.. Ecological Footprints tells you how much land and water you need to substance yourself on this earth.. Everyone is different but why does one person need more then another else.. The people who have a larger Footprint on the Earth are really not looking at how to use the resources they have to the fullest potential...

All I see is we need water, food, clothes, but the average North American uses more then any other place in the world... We look at Canada and the USA, and see how everyone has more then they need in their houses... If you look at third world countries they survive on less then majority of people in the world can live on... We need to look at people who live on hardly anything, and start to live like them... They are showing the world how in 100 years we need to be living or this planet will die out...

We just need to take up less land, and use less water in the long run.. When we do anything just look at how much you are using, and how other people can use the resources more.. Giving to others is giving back for taking up so much land, and water which could be given to families to use, who have hardly anything... Remember we need to look at ways of conserving, and then we will live a better life...
